William Wang, Co-Chair

William Wang is the CEO and founder of VIZIO, Inc. A native of Taiwan, Wang moved to the U.S. with his family at age 12 and later graduated from USC with a BS in electrical engineering. A great example of a “visionary serial entrepreneur,” he founded VIZIO in 2002 and has guided the company to its present status as producer of the topselling brand of HDTVs in the U.S.  VIZIO held the #1 ranking (2008) on the Inc. “500 Top Companies in Computers and Electronics” list. For two consecutive years (2009, 2010) was named one of Fast Company’s “Top 10 Most Innovative CE Companies”.  On a personal level, Wang has been recognized as Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” (2008) and as The Orange County Business Journal’s “Business Person of the Year” (2010).
